Curtis & Sally Scherer

Recognizing the need for a local source for effective, quality storage systems, Curtis and Sally Scherer created Enlightened Organizing in 2003. Celebrating 20 years of service in the Bow Valley in 2023, Enlightened Organizing has installed thousands of closets and organized hundreds of garages since then.
Enlightened Organizing is a member of the Association of Closet & Storage Professionals, Professional Organizers in Canada, and the Bow Valley Builders & Developers Association.
Originally from Windsor, Ontario, then in Chatham for 15 years, Curtis and Sally Scherer moved to Canmore in 2003.
Curtis is a Professional Engineer. He will meet with you to discuss options for the clothes & household items in your closets and for the gear in your garage. He’s involved throughout the entire process, from a customized design/quotation prepared to the highest standards to coordinating installations. Curtis is committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction with the project.
Sally Scherer is a librarian by training, and previously served as Director of Library Services for Chatham-Kent. For 18 years, she was the Bow Valley’s Home Stager, using her legendary attention to detail to prepare properties for sale. Now retired from Staging, Sally holds a key role as the company’s bookkeeper.

Our Installers
Scott, Futa and Connor are our hero installers! Careful, committed, and skilled, they are the guys who will make your closet and garage dreams come true.
Scott is our Senior Installer. He’s been with Enlightened Organizing since 2008. Scott has years of experience in the home building industry and his finish carpentry skills are top-notch. Scott also prepares the detailed design sheets that help our clients to visualize the solutions we’re proposing.
Futa has been with us since 2015 and is our power installer for closets and garages. Futa has worked on an impressive number of multi-family buildings in town. Walk down Spring Creek Drive and look up - every closet in every condo has Futa’s signature on it. Futa also drafts plans and produces 3D renderings for garage projects.
Connor is our super-organized installer. He’s been installing closets and garage systems since 2021 and does excellent, precise work. He’s also the designer and keeper of this website.
